Job Title: Translational Biology / Translational Research – Associate Director / Director

Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience

Type: Permanent

Location: London (Hybrid)

Our client an innovative biotechnology company currently seek a talented and driven Translational Biology / Translational Research Director to join their growing team and help bridge the gap between their cutting-edge laboratory discoveries and impactful clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust translational research plans in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Define biomarker and pathway strategies to understand drug response and support clinical development.
• Collaborate with clinical and bioanalytical teams to design and execute proof-of-mechanism and proof-of-concept studies.
• Identify and engage with external CROs and academic institutions to extend the company’s translational capabilities.
• Contribute to new target identification and scientific direction of the company’s ADC portfolio.
• Oversee translational project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and mentor junior R&D staff.
• Propose and implement innovative methods and technologies in translational science.

Required Experience

• PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, pharmacology, translational science, or related field.
• Proven experience in translational research within biotech, pharma, or academic settings.
• Strong understanding of oncology drug development and biomarker discovery.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external CROs or collaborators.
• Excellent communication and scientific writing skills.
• Passion for innovation and making a difference in patients’ lives.
