Location: V&A South Kensington and V&A East (Hybrid – 60% on-site)
Contract: Fixed term until 30 September 2026
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Hours: 36 per week (Monday to Friday)
The V&A is entering one of the most exciting chapters in its history. The museum will launch V&A East Museum and its debut exhibition The Music is Black, present Schiaparelli at South Kensington, and shape a bold new organisational strategy for 2026–2030.
We are seeking an exceptional Interim Head of Integrated Marketing and Insight to lead our marketing and audience strategy during this pivotal fixed-term period until September 2026. You will head a multidisciplinary team of 32 spanning brand and campaigns, social media, research and insight, audience engagement, performance marketing, and CRM. Working across all V&A sites, you will drive strategies that build reach, reputation, and revenue.
About the Role
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing strategies that amplify the V&A’s voice and strengthen its brand across all venues.
- Embed audience insight and analytics at the core of campaign and organisational decision-making.
- Oversee CRM and digital marketing activity to enhance audience engagement, membership value, and lifetime relationships.
- Manage and inspire a high‑performing team through change, fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Partner with the Director of Audiences and leadership peers to define the marketing direction for the V&A’s 2026–2030 strategy.
About You
You are a strategic, creative, and data‑driven marketing leader who thrives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. You bring proven success leading integrated campaigns that connect brand purpose with measurable impact.
You will have:
- At least ten years of senior experience in marketing, brand, or audience strategy roles.
- Expertise in multi‑channel campaign planning, CRM, and audience insight.
- A record of building and leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to unite diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
- A passion for culture, creativity, and the power of storytelling to inspire change.
- Ideally a start date within one month of the vacancy, as longer notice periods cannot be accommodated.
