Join to apply for the VAT Senior Manager role at ACCA Careers in a VAT advisory capacity within Kreston Reeves. We are seeking a VAT Senior Manager or a high-potential Manager ready to step up into a senior role to join our VAT team. This is a purely advisory position, focused on delivering VAT advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors including real estate, manufacturing, international trade, charities and not-for-profits, agriculture, finance and insurance, and local authorities.
As part of a collaborative team of eight, you will work closely with our VAT Partner and Director to deliver advisory projects, support and develop junior team members, and contribute to the strategic growth of the VAT service line. The role also offers the opportunity to build strong relationships internally and externally and to play an active part in identifying and developing business opportunities. This role can be based in any of our offices in London, Sussex or Kent, with the expectation of three days in an office per week, one of which will be in London.
About The Role
- Delivering high-quality VAT advisory services across a diverse client base – this is not a compliance-focused role.
- Building and managing strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including managing a VAT Senior based in London.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to provide holistic advice and service delivery.
- Leading and contributing to VAT-related projects, including cross-sector and cross-service initiatives.
- Identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships and playing an active role in business development.
- Contributing to sector-focused plans to support the strategic growth of the VAT service line.
What We're Looking For
- A few years’ experience in VAT advisory is essential, gained in a professional services environment, but can include industry experience.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to communicate VAT advice simply.
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach to managing your workload and delivering for clients.
- Confidence in mentoring and developing junior team members.
- A commercial mindset with experience in identifying and delivering new opportunities for growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative working style.
