Location: Dunfermline, Scotland. You’ll be joining a Vets4Pets practice that operates with autonomy and strong values, within a supportive group structure.

About Us

We’re an eight year old Vets4Pets practice located in Dunfermline. We work to build a practice that is an important part of our community. Each JVP runs their practice independently with selective support from a central office. We emphasise sustainability and high quality care and service. We invite you to visit to learn more. The practice owner has built a culture focused on doing what works for pets, clients, and the team.

We emphasise guidelines for busy days, scheduling of emergencies, appropriate breaks, and constructive handling of client behaviour. We are expanding to include a separate dental and ultrasound/endoscopy room and operate with modern equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Consultations
  • Wellness visits and care
  • Dental care
  • Neutering
  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Basic ultrasound scans
  • Radiographing investigations
  • Medical work ups and treatments
  • Client communications and care
  • Team communications and care
  • Invoicing accurately for your work
  • Writing accurate and timely clinical records

Equipment & Services

  • iM3 digital dental radiography
  • MyLab Omega vet ultrasound
  • In house Idexx lasercyte, microscopy
  • Blood pressure monitor, pulse oximetry, capnography

Location & Hours

Open 8:30 – 18:00 on weekdays; 9:00 – 12:00 on Saturdays; closed Sundays. You’ll work one Saturday every four weeks with no on-call or after-hours required.

Qualifications & Experience

You’ll have a veterinary degree registrable in the UK and hold membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. You must be legally eligible to work in the UK. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in practice, with at least one year in small animal practice, is preferred.

Rewards & Benefits

  • Salary determined by SPVS data and experience, £45k–£65k FTE depending on years qualified and skills
  • Flexible hours: 20–25 hours (part-time) or 40 hours (full-time) per week
  • CPD budget of £1500; certificate consideration
