XRUK's website is central to our online presence. It promotes our demands for action to reduce climate change. We take direct action against fossil fuel, insurance and water companies.

What difference will you make?

• You will help to amplify our campaigns and actions in reducing climate change and its effects.
• You will motivate others to take action, join us and make donations.
• You will make it clear how others can take action.

Responsibilities

• Support the UK-wide website extinctionrebellion.uk and regional WordPress sites.
• Collaborate with a volunteer team of professional, freelance developers.
• Work with the team to organize workflow using a Trello board and meet weekly on Zoom.
• Contribute high-value WordPress development skills and best practices.
• Align with XR's principles and values and contribute to an inclusive, supportive environment.

What are we looking for?

• Technical
• Highly experienced with WordPress
• Strong experience with Git workflow
• Experience using NPM
• Useful experience with Twig, Composer or Docker

Commitment and Training

• Commit 5-9 hours per week, with flexibility outside meeting times
• Full training provided in XR's principles and values and collaborative, self-organising ways of working
