Youth Justice Worker | 9071/9072 | 2 x Temporary Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity until 31 March 2027 | 37 hours per week | £39,892 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Great Yarmouth

Our Norfolk Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a statutory multi-agency partnership hosted within Norfolk County Council to prevent children from offending whilst safeguarding their welfare, protecting the public and helping restore the damage caused to the victims of their crimes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop bespoke strength-based intervention packages with children.
  • Engage with children in assessment, planning and delivering interventions.
  • Balance safeguarding of the child with safeguarding of the community at large.
  • Produce and present complex reports to various forums.
  • Work flexibly with some evening, weekend and bank holiday work on a rotating basis.
  • Demonstrate professional qualification or substantial relevant experience in an allied service.

This post will have a locality base with much of the working week in the community or home working. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to meet the post’s requirements. The role requires in-office presence of at least 2 days per week, in addition to team days.
