Grade UE07: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum pro rata. CMVM / School of Regeneration and Repair / Institute for Regeneration and Repair. Part-time: 14 hours per week. Fixed-term: 3 years. This is a part-time role with potential for flexible working patterns and hybrid on-campus/remote arrangements where feasible.

Join us as Trial Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of PREDI-Lynch (https://oslocancercluster.no/news/predilynch), with a primary focus on the gynaecology trial. You’ll work closely with Dr Neil Ryan and be backed by an experienced team with a strong record in multicentre trial delivery. You’ll be central to start-up, site activation, recruitment, data quality, and stakeholder coordination, and may also support other trials in our gynaecological cancer portfolio. The role includes opportunities to support PhD students and junior team members. You will be a valued member of the programme and will be supported with training, mentoring, and clear routes for career progression.

This post is part-time (14 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of the PREDI-Lynch gynaecology trial, including start-up, site activation, recruitment, data quality, and stakeholder coordination.
• Support other trials within the gynaecological cancer portfolio as required.
• Collaborate closely with Dr Neil Ryan and the trial team; contribute to trial governance and decision‑making.
• Support PhD students and junior team members through training, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
• Contribute to programme development, with training and clear routes for progression.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Proven experience managing multicentre clinical trials (ideally oncology/gynaecology) from start-up to close-out, including site activation and recruitment.
• Degree in a relevant discipline; postgraduate certification/diploma in clinical research/project management (or equivalent experience).
• Strong working knowledge of ICH-GCP, HRA/REC/MHRA processes, EDC systems, and data quality; evidence of ongoing CPD.
• Demonstrable project management and leadership skills (planning, risk management, stakeholder coordination), with excellent communication and mentoring.
• Financial literacy with experience of research finance systems (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing) and evidence of management training.
