Hours: 35 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day.

Who we are: Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Board (Scotland) Order 1995.

What we do: Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for North and South Lanarkshire council areas, including the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List, and Register of Electors.

Our vision: To deliver quality work, provide efficient services, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Electoral Register, Valuation Rolls, and Council Tax Lists.

To assist in managing the survey and valuation of lands and heritages within a designated area, in accordance with the Lands Valuation Acts and the Local Government Finance Act 1992. To manage, control, and direct a team of professional and technical staff in maintaining the Valuation Roll and List. To deputise for the Assessor as needed.

Who we are looking for: A Divisional Valuer responsible for property inspections, valuations, analyzing rental transactions, devising valuation schemes, negotiating proposals and appeals, and acting as an expert witness. You will assist the Divisional Assessor and supervise the valuation team. You may need to deputise for the Divisional Assessor and represent the Assessor at Tribunal hearings for Council Tax appeals.

You should have a positive, professional attitude, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes are desirable but not mandatory.
