Overview

Join to apply for the 2026 Grad Program, Software Engineering role at Bending Spoons.

This is an exclusive opportunity for top students on track to graduate between December 2025 and December 2026 to learn, make an impact, and accelerate their career at an exceptionally high rate.

Responsibilities

  • Master your toolkit. By working across diverse tech stacks, you’ll refine your ability to choose the right tools for every challenge. From monolithic to microservices architectures, gRPC to REST APIs, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust—you’ll show that true expertise isn’t about using the trendiest technologies, but about understanding their purpose to unleash their full potential.
  • Build stuff that matters. You’ll enjoy plenty of autonomy and take full ownership of your work, from ideation to execution. You’ll have the opportunity to build software from the ground up and see how your code evolves into a product used at scale.
  • Simplify relentlessly. Your mission is to turn complexity into simplicity, whether optimizing CI/CD pipelines, writing maintainable code, or crafting minimalist architectures to power scalable solutions.

What we look for

  • Reasoning ability. You solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases, and attend to details that matter.
  • Drive. You are highly ambitious and hold yourself to a high bar, with initiative, effort, and tenacity aligned to that ambition.
  • Team spirit. You support the best idea, collaborate, and are reliable, honest, and transparent.
  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Small, result-oriented, autonomous teams working with bright people in the field.
  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. We hire individuals with outstanding potential and place them in roles to thrive; Spooners in their 20s lead high-impact projects.
  • Competitive pay and equity. Salary ranges vary by location with potential equity and a discounted purchase option. If relocating to Italy, you may enjoy a 50% tax cut.
  • All. These. Benefits. Flexible hours, remote work, generous learning support, top-tier health insurance, relocation assistance, parental support, and an annual retreat.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, you’ll take tests designed to assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. If successful, you’ll be invited to a series of interviews. We set high standards and may keep the role open for an extended period.

Before you apply

If you’ve applied before but didn’t receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again. The company environment is demanding and requires a high level of commitment. We encourage you to apply if you believe you could be a strong fit.

To help you ramp up quickly and set you up for success, we recommend spending your first months working from our Milan office, with travel and accommodation support. Thereafter, you may work from Milan or London offices or remotely from approved countries, depending on the offer stage.
