About The Role

We’re currently looking for a Graduate Wastewater Network Modeller to join our Water Utilities Division, a centre of excellence that supports colleagues across our global business. You’ll be part of a team tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time—climate change, ageing infrastructure, pollution incidents, Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) spills, and population growth—by designing resilient wastewater networks and delivering major pipeline transfers and drainage systems that protect communities and the environment.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your technical and project management skills through diverse and impactful project work. You’ll be supported by senior and principal modellers and collaborate across our UK‑wide modelling team, gaining exposure to national and international water frameworks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and calibrate 1D and 2D hydraulic models
  • Assess and influence CSO activity and operation to meet sector targets
  • Evaluate foul water flooding and wastewater network resilience
  • Develop mitigation solutions and present options to clients
  • Work with industry‑standard modelling software, GIS, and coding tools
  • Produce high‑quality reports and visualisations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the business

Eligibility and Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements)
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or expected to achieve one, in one of the following disciplines:
  • Geography
  • Hydrology and Water Management
  • Water and Environmental Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mathematics

Key Competencies

  • Methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
