The Role: Overall Purpose (adding Value to Pret)
To deliver service excellence from Pret’s suppliers and Logistics Partner to UK Shops with the aim of Zero Out of Stock Situations.
Scope of the Role
Deliver Service Excellence Through
- Highest achievable service levels and ingredient availability
- Demand and seasonal forecasting planning with Suppliers and 3rd Party Logistics provider
- Management of suppliers performance and supply to depot
- Supporting our UK shops with a “shop’s first” mentality and coaching them to improve their ordering practices.
- KPI reporting and analysis of ingredient trends
- Maintenance of Supply Chain Systems and proactive communications to UK business of issues and resolutions.
Stock and Supply Management
- Working with Pret’s nominated distributors and suppliers in the UK to ensure full stock availability on time and in full
- To review Supplier service level reporting and investigate areas of concern and resolve by initiating supplier meetings to discuss poor levels of service and agreeing action plans with to improve service levels
- To monitor and make effective decisions on the clearance of non-moving and de-listed products and stocks
- To monitor and make effective decisions on stock availability and shop prioritisation/allocation where necessary.
- Simple and effective communication of supply issues to shops
- Monitor and challenge any centrally allocated stock and waste.
- Manage Distributor trading account delisting stock write off in line with agreed Budget and challenge commercial team on any supplier raw material exposure.
- Manage all new requested for non-food items such as small equipment and uniforms and analyse all spend that falls outside the approved supplier listing
- Manage trading account delisting stock write off in line with agreed Budget
- Management of initial stock allocations to shops where necessary
- Lead forecasting meetings with suppliers to execute accurate supply from suppliers to 3PLs
- Lead Supply Chain input to Food supplier scorecard process manage all food suppliers against their KPI achievement
- Lead the weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasting process with all food suppliers and ensure 3PL purchasing is held to account.
- Manage the pricing profiles for each international partner/market on a monthly basis to support 3PL teams domestically and internationally.
- Volume forecasting and demand planning for NPD and seasonal peaks across all product categories
- Attend weekly food meeting and ensure the end to end supply chain is considered and managed for all food launches
- Forecast volume increases and decreases and communicate these changes to suppliers within agreed lead times according to New Product Launch schedule and seasonal trends.
- Ensure all price and product changes are full managed and actioned via Prets nominated distributors
- Support the company sustainability goals and projects
- Forecast volume increases and decreases and communicate these changes to suppliers within agreed lead times according to product launch windows and guide seasonal trend analysis discussions
- Work with the Global Supply Chain team to ensure all new products are available for export where desired.
- Ensure International forecasting is built into supplier forecasts to ensure full availability of stock.
- To be involved in ad-hoc projects as required
- To attend a number of Buddy Days in a designated shop
- Weekend on call cover (on a rota basis) for issues that need to be escalated

- Minimum 5 years experience QSR/Foodservice/Food retail supply chain management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Influencing and negotiation skills

- Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills
Hybrid working - 50% of your time working from home
There is a requirement to visit and work approximately 3 days per month at Pret’s UK nominated distributor ( Hertfordshire, UK)
