The Portfolio Project Manager provides structured delivery leadership while supervising project managers and ensuring delivery excellence across the programme landscape. Acting as a central coordination point, the role combines tactical oversight and strategic alignment with exemplary stakeholder engagement to safeguard project outcomes and portfolio integrity.MS Amlin is part of a global top-10 insurance group, MS&AD. Our vision is to be a trusted partner and solution provider of choice.**Portfolio Delivery & Oversight*** Lead the end-to-end execution of multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring strategic alignment and timely delivery* Oversee and guide project managers, ensuring consistency in governance, planning, execution, and reporting* Manage interdependencies and resource allocation across delivery streams within the portfolio* Maintain central oversight of performance metrics, milestones, risks, and delivery status across projects* Ensure integration of new initiatives into the existing portfolio framework with minimal disruption**Governance & Quality Assurance*** Champion delivery standards, project governance frameworks, and gated review processes* Conduct regular health checks across the portfolio and escalate risks or delivery concerns with recommendations* Promote best practice in project management across the portfolio through coaching and mentorship* Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal assurance requirements**Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting*** Develop and maintain effective relationships with business units, technology teams, and senior leadership* Provide regular structured communications on project status, risks, decisions, and strategic implications* Act as the key liaison for stakeholder queries and portfolio-level governance forums* Ensure accurate and timely reporting that supports decision-making and strategic planning**Team Leadership & Capability Development*** Supervise and develop project managers and supporting delivery resources* Set clear objectives, assess performance, and promote a culture of continuous improvement* Align team capacity to delivery demands, maintaining flexibility for dynamic priorities**Financial Management & Commercial Liaison*** Work closely with Finance and Procurement to manage project budgets and financial forecasts* Ensure expenditure aligns with project scope, delivery timelines, and audit requirements**You’re Going To Enjoy This Job If You…*** Managing a portfolio of projects with varying scope, scale, and complexity* Leading a team of project managers and delivery professionals* Collaborating across the business to ensure consistent delivery against strategic priorities* Reporting on portfolio-level KPIs, risks, milestones, and performance drivers* Driving operational improvement and delivery excellence across the PMO function**What We Need From You*** MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PgMP, or equivalent certifications* Demonstrable experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously* Strong team leadership and line management experience, ideally within regulated environments* Expertise in stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and executive reporting* Proficiency in project portfolio tools (e.g. Planview, MS Project, Jira, Power BI)* Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services preferred***We are stronger together because of our common interests and rich differences.
