The Role
You will assist the Accommodation Manager in overseeing homelessness and resettlement accommodation across the South East Lincolnshire Council’s partnership region. Your responsibilities include maintaining accommodation standards and managing/supporting occupants. The position is initially fixed-term for 2 years, with potential extension.
You will help address challenges in providing suitable accommodation.
Day-to-day tasks:
- Oversee financial management of temporary and resettlement accommodation, including rent accounting, debt collection, and setting fees and charges, aiming for cost efficiency and income maximization.
- Ensure the Council makes the best use of available accommodation, achieves value for money, and complies with government regulations.
- Line manage a small team responsible for managing temporary accommodation.
What do I need?
Experience in managing a team in a fast-paced environment is essential. The ability to remain calm when dealing with the public in emotional or stressful situations is key.
This role involves agile working, with requirements to work from the Council offices and travel within Boston, East Lindsey, and South Holland as needed.
