ITPS is an owner-led Managed Service Provider based in the North East of England and London. The business is in an exciting phase of transformational growth with offerings including Cloud, Security Services, Managed Services, Connectivity and Professional Services. This role supports the next phase of growth by attracting new clients and managing relationships with our top 50 customers.
Overview of the role
The ideal candidate will proactively pursue opportunities for business development, understand customer challenges, and offer relevant ITPS solutions. The role requires substantial experience working with C-suite clients in large organisations and the ability to confidently engage in professional business discussions with senior executives.
Accountabilities
- Expand the existing client base by building and managing relationships with business leaders to understand and meet business challenges with ITPS solutions
- Retain key accounts through excellent account management with large and complex businesses, continually identifying business opportunities
- Prepare high quality, engaging and business-specific presentations for clients and recommend relevant solutions from the ITPS portfolio
- Develop excellent relationships with vendors for prospecting and closing new business opportunities
- Negotiate sales, package discounts, and long-term contracts with key clients
- Develop and maintain comprehensive account plans, ensuring they are up to date and accurate
- Develop deep knowledge in all core products and services offered by ITPS
- Keep up to date with sector developments and industry trends and innovations
- Proactively support the Marketing team to ensure successful campaigns and lead generation
- Develop relationships with third-party vendors within the client base to pursue referrals
- Maintain sales activity and pipeline progression within the CRM system and provide regular reporting
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the right solutions for the customer and coordinate resources accordingly
Skills and experience
- Significant experience in a senior sales role working with large key accounts (3 to 5 years) at C-suite level
- Proven track record in attracting and retaining new business/key accounts
- Strong account management experience with senior stakeholders, including upselling and cross-selling
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed new business and key account targets
- Experience using CRM systems
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Excellent presentation skills
- Collaborates with other functions such as Pre-Sales to deliver success for the customer and the business
- Data-friendly with knowledge of current and emerging technology trends
- Ability to analyse data
