About The Role

As a Freelance Account Director, you will play a key role in supporting Directors to advance major global healthcare accounts. You’ll be entrusted with building and maintaining strong client relationships, leading teams to deliver high-quality work, and helping to shape and execute client strategy. Your expertise will help identify opportunities for both organic and new client growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Leadership: Act as the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of healthcare accounts, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client service that drives satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategic & Creative Counsel: Serve as a trusted advisor, offering actionable strategic insights and creative media solutions. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, media, and relevant industry influencers.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee client budgets, billing, and account administration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Business Growth: Identify and support new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and participation in proposals and pitches.
  • Integrated Campaigns: Collaborate with media and digital specialists to develop and activate integrated campaigns that deliver measurable results.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and motivate junior team members to foster a productive and inclusive team environment.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice initiatives across our network.

About You

  • You’re a proactive and strategic communicator with proven experience in healthcare and pharma communications, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Previous experience in oncology is an advantage.
  • You excel at building client relationships, delivering creative and effective solutions, and leading teams to success.
  • You thrive in a flexible freelance environment and are ready to make an immediate impact.
  • Previous experience developing internal communications campaigns a must
