Account Executive - Fluent German speaking

We are seeking a highly motivated German speaking Account Executive to join the team. This role focuses on building and growing long-term relationships with key accounts, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will be confident managing senior stakeholders, experienced in complex account management, and skilled at aligning customer needs with business solutions.

Hybrid working

Hybrid: 3 days in the office a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account & Relationship Management
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer queries, escalations, and complex requirements, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Own customer engagement cadence (QBRs, semi-annual, and annual reviews), driving agendas, documenting outcomes, and ensuring delivery of follow-up actions.
  • Communicate product launches, campaigns, and initiatives to drive customer engagement.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities through referrals, recommendations, and industry events.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and partner with business development colleagues on major initiatives.
  • Commercial & Contract Management
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and management to maximise profitability.
  • Take ownership of customer propositions—matching solutions to client needs and influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Delivery & Collaboration
  • Ensure the successful delivery of solutions and projects aligned with customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure high-quality outcomes and seamless service.
  • Data, Reporting & Insights
  • Maintain accurate and complete CRM data, including customer records, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Lead account reporting, including profiling, relationship mapping, market trends, and competitor insights.
  • Manage customer satisfaction targets and lead the annual survey process, analysing results and driving improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Fluent German speaker (essential) – many customer interactions will be conducted exclusively in German.
  • Significant experience in Senior/Key Account Management within the IT industry.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
