We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Account Manager!You'll beresponsible for managing and renewing existing generation contracts—both directly and through channel partners (third party intermediaries)—while delivering exceptional service and commercial value.
You will oversee a portfolio of generator accounts, acting as the primary point of contact to lead renewals, develop strategic engagement plans, and drive customer retention. You will collaborate closely with Operations to ensure effective service delivery, support the Business Development team on new opportunities, and assist colleagues with major renewal tenders. Additionally, you will actively identify opportunities to deepen generator relationships through meetings, marketing initiatives, and hospitality events.
A strong understanding of the energy market is key, as you’ll be expected to continuously build market knowledge and act as a trusted industry expert to enhance the generator proposition.
This role offers a high degree of autonomy and requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and market insight to help grow and retain our generator customer base.
£50,000 - £55,000 advertised base annual salary banding, homebased with our sales commission scheme and car allowance.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Demonstrable experience working directly with generators and through channel partners, across a range of sizes and technologies, along with a strong track record in securing fixed and flexible PPAs and their added value services;
- Strong track record in securing fixed and flexible PPAs and their added value services;
- Expertise in commercial negotiation within the B2B energy sector;
- Building and influencing relationships across multiple levels of an organisation;
- Familiarity with the UK energy industry structure, regulatory policy, and evolving market processes;
- Knowledge of external tendering procedures and credit risk assessment.
