Role Summary and Responsibilities

The Global Investment team collaborates with trading, client leadership, commercial, digital, and new business teams on local, regional, and global levels. The primary function is to support investment and trading requirements across our global client portfolio, working with local market agency teams, global clients, and external third parties. Key workstreams include media value management, marketplace and inflation monitoring, auditor collaboration/management, digital process management, contractual awareness, new business pitches, innovation in media channels, and thought leadership.

  • Trading Delivery: track media value delivery with local market trading teams, consolidating delivery across media channels, markets, and regions; lead solution-focused approaches; participate with auditors to resolve issues.
  • Analysis: handle large data sets, ensure data quality, spot anomalies, and verify accuracy.
  • Media Knowledge: develop global media knowledge of markets, channels, measurement metrics, methodologies, and trading metrics; share knowledge and support junior team members.
  • Market Intelligence: develop insights on media price inflation, channel evolution, and landscape changes; keep the team and clients informed of potential impacts.
  • People and Project Management: manage and develop junior team members; ensure timely, high-quality deliverables; manage client and auditor deliverables; multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship Focus: build collaborative relationships with global markets, internal teams, clients, and auditors; communicate issues thoughtfully and fairly.
  • Team: actively participate in the Investment team and contribute to a collaborative environment.

The success of the role will be measured against agreed KPIs discussed periodically. Strong local market relationships are critical to success.

Skills and Experience

Experience in a media buying/trading role, within a media auditor, a client business, or within an investment management agency team is preferred. The role involves working with large data sets; therefore skills in maths, Excel, and attention to detail are essential. An interest in analysing data, understanding trends, and storytelling with data is important. Advanced analytics and data visualization skills (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI) and VBA/macro experience are advantageous.

Ability to develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of colleagues, both internal and external. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and friendly approach, are beneficial. Because the global team communicates with markets around the world where English may not be the first language, strong written and spoken English is essential.
