What You’ll Do
As our Account Manager, you’ll be the face of Prototal UK, nurturing client relationships and helping our customers bring their ideas to life. Don’t worry if you’re still learning the ropes—we’ve got your back with top-notch training and a supportive team to help you soar. Here’s what you’ll dive into:
- Manage you time effectively not just serving hungry customers but creating, advancing and closing opportunities with existing customers.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring they’re thrilled with our services.
- Identify opportunities to expand accounts by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions, usually called up-selling and cross-selling.
- Get RFQ’s, understand them, interpret them and then ask questions to ensure you deliver value, we have sophisticated software to help with quoting and proposals so you don’t need to be a genius, it better if you are just curious and don’t mind asking questions.
- Chase sales targets with enthusiasm, be accountable for your numbers and contribute to our exciting growth journey.
- Meet with customers (face-to-face), expanding you customer contact network to find new opportunities to build your personal brand and represent Prototal UK.
- Share client feedback to help us keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, understanding customers fully using segmenting and categorise techniques.
- Divest kindly with customers who just don’t value what we do and who only want to get the cheapest!
Who You Are
You’re a rising star with big ambitions and a passion for connecting with people. You’ve got some experience under your belt, probably had some account management training so you know what you are getting yourself into, but you’re eager to learn, grow, and make your mark. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Some experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles (e.g., >2 years, but we’re flexible for the right attitude!).
- You prefer working B2B clients and have worked in advanced manufacturing or engineering services
- You have some industry experience of additive manufacturing or 3D printing as a service
- A natural communicator who loves building relationships and solving problems for clients, you are not afraid to pick up the phone and call a customer.
- A driven, proactive mindset—you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and seize opportunities.
- Confidence to learn on the job, with a curiosity about manufacturing or technology.
- Team player with a positive vibe, ready to collaborate and soak up feedback.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
