Harmonic are proud to be working with one of the most exciting, values driven accountancy practices in the UK, for an Accounting Manager to have real influence on the future scaling of the business.
This is a remote role, with the expectation employees visit the London office 2-3 times per month.
The Business
Founded just over a decade ago, this dynamic accountancy practice has carved out a reputation as one of the go-to advisors within the creative industries. With a client base of around 200 spanning world-renowned musicians, award-winning actors, and some of the most exciting voices in social media and digital content, they are deeply embedded in the cultural landscape.
With a headcount of 25 and revenues in excess of £3 million—growing steadily year on year—the firm has thrived through industry shifts and is now poised for its next chapter of expansion. The Role
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the firms client’s success, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of their business. You’ll make a positive impact by ensuring clients are comfortable with their accounting and bookkeeping, while also mentoring junior associates in line with the business’s values of promotion and development.
Reporting into a fantastic head of accounting, this role will be highly autonomous in nature and will suit outward facing candidates that work enjoy delivering a first class level of service to clients. With the future growth plans for the business, there will also be great opportunities for future growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact for a small portfolio of high-profile clients
- Oversee specific project management tasks
- Review year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and corporate/personal tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and HMRC requirements
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow projections and KPI reports
- Complete monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Liaise with HMRC, Companies House, and other external bodies on behalf of clients where required
- Advise clients on financial planning, cash flow management, compliance requirements, and best practice in financial controls
- Lead on system improvements where appropriate
- Ad hoc tasks to support wider business
What We Need to See (Essential)
- ACA / ACCA Qualified / Part Qualified
- Strong accounting experience within an accountancy practice
What We’d Like to See (Bonus)
- Previous experience working with clients in the entertainment/music/creative industries
