Overview

Accounting Professional and Finance Degree Apprenticeship – 5 years. Salary £26,500 plus benefits. Locations: West Yorkshire (Leeds and Halifax), Edinburgh and Bristol. Hybrid working with a mix of office and home working.

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance Manager degree with Manchester Metropolitan University. Upon completion, continue learning to become fully CIMA qualified. Fully funded.

What you’ll do

Shape the numbers. You’ll rotate through Finance and beyond, gaining a 360° view of how the bank runs. From joining, you’ll be involved in shaping decisions, driving change and delivering for millions of customers.

You could be doing a range of activities, including:

• Keeping us on track in Core Finance with monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Spotting the fine print in Audit & Assurance to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
• Being our safety net in Risk & Governance.
• Plotting the big moves in Strategic Business Management.
• Steering the money in Taxation & Treasury.
• Collaborating with other business areas and getting closer to customers to understand how we Help Britain Prosper.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern data analytics platforms and next‑gen reporting tools, as you forecast performance, produce key reports, analyse risk, advise on investments and solve complex problems with multi‑skilled teams of finance and tech professionals.

Learning and development

From day one, you’ll be learning by doing. You’ll master creating, verifying and reviewing accurate, timely financial information and grow crucial soft skills such as collaboration, communication and influencing. You’ll develop a strong tech-enabled finance mindset as you progress toward CIMA qualification and a funded BA (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance.
