About the role

Join Elexon as a Finance Operations Assistant. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with previous experience in an accounting transactional role. Hybrid working and excellent benefits available.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant (known as a Finance Operations Assistant – Grade 8) to join the Finance team on a permanent basis.

Team / Department

The Elexon finance team resides within the Finance & Commercial department which provides professional support services to Elexon including Internal Audit, Supply Chain Management and Finance. Overall, the Finance & Commercial department ensures Elexon drives cost efficiencies and that the company conducts its operations in a secure and controlled manner.

The finance team is responsible for both financial accounting and management reporting for Elexon. Financial accounting includes cash management for its operations as well as the production of statutory accounts for Elexon Group and its subsidiaries. The management reporting function includes timely coordination of the company’s annual budget and 3 year business plan, monthly cost reporting and financial analyses.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work in the Operations team performing all operational finance processes including purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger, cash management, VAT and balance sheet reconciliations across Elexon Ltd and its subsidiaries. You will be part of a team responsible for all schemes administrated by Elexon Ltd.

You will use your skills and expertise to deliver effective operational performance and excellent customer service.
