Overview

Base pay range provided. Kenton Black Finance are recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Clerk on behalf of a business based in the Milnthorpe area. The company has a turnover of circa £170 million and has been operating for over 25 years. Hybrid working is available after probation (2 days from home).

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently raising and sending all invoices within agreed timescales
  • Identifying and resolving invoicing queries to ensure timely payment
  • Active participant in the annual audit for Accounts Receivable samples
  • Producing and developing management information to analyse debtors and collections
  • Updating and maintaining the Group’s billing schedules and reconciling changes to the underlying financial ledgers
  • Liaising with the Commercial department to set up new contracts and ensure information is accurate for timely invoicing
  • Providing support in other ad hoc Accounts Receivable duties and wider Finance tasks as required
  • Adapting to department changes as the finance function grows

Qualifications and Skills

  • Resilient and able to handle high-pressure situations (essential)
  • AAT level 2 or QBE (not essential)
  • Organised and methodical in approach (essential)
  • Good knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups (essential)
  • Effective communication with suppliers and customers (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines (essential)
  • Customer focused and a team player (essential)
  • Flexible and high standard of work with the right attitude (essential)
