Job Title: Acoustic Consultant

Location: London

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join its established team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with a background in environmental acoustics, building acoustics, or noise and vibration assessment to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the capital and wider UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality projects across infrastructure, transport, residential, and commercial development.
  • Conducting noise and vibration monitoring surveys across London and the South East.
  • Undertaking acoustic modelling and environmental noise assessments.
  • Preparing Environmental Statement chapters and detailed technical reports.
  • Liaising with clients, planners, and regulatory authorities.
  • Supporting business development and contributing to proposals.
  • Assisting with the mentoring of junior staff.

Skills and experience

  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related discipline
  • 2-4 years' experience in acoustic consultancy
  • Proficiency with software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or Odeon
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Membership of the Institute of Acoustics desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
