Job Title: ACRO Information Governance Officer

Work Location: Near Fareham

Hours Per Week: 37 hours per week, Monday- Friday with flexible office hours

Contract type: Fixed term for up to 2 years

If you would like to apply for this temporary post as a secondment you must have the prior approval of your current Line Manager and Head of Department. Please therefore ensure you have completed the ‘Police Staff Internal Secondment Declaration’, and forwarded it as instructed to obtain their sign-off. This step must be completed so the form is submitted as part of the application process, prior to the vacancy’s closing date. Your declaration form should be uploaded alongside your application form. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work with others to identify solutions to information management scenarios to join us as an Information Governance Officer, within a national policing unit working to ensure safer communities in the UK and around the world.

More about the Role

The successful candidate will become part of a team providing knowledge and support to all ACRO departments in matters relating to information management and data protection.

The post holder will, using a keen eye for detail, provide support to the Data Protection Officer, Information Manager and Information Governance Supervisor through the collation of data breach trend analysis and providing guidance to internal teams on data breach management.

The role is also responsible for the maintenance of ACRO’s Information Sharing Agreements and the facilitation of Court Orders received into the organisation, both tasks afford regular engagement with external stakeholders.

The role holder will also be involved in regular compliance audits supporting ACRO maintain compliance with the data protection principles in all of its processing activities.
