As a Legal Support Assistant in our team, you’ll be supporting the Insurance Division with the opening of a variety of files and capturing all data on a centralised system. The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Processing instructions for all new matters;
- Adhering to strict service levels;
- Ensuring that files are opened timeously to meet with specific court deadlines related to each file;
- Accurately entering all relevant data and information on to a centralised system;
- Be able to prioritise and organise your work efficiently and effectively to ensure all tasks are completed to specified deadlines;
- Being able to work flexibly and adjust to changes in priority of workload;
- Maintaining electronic files in line with business process and regulatory requirements
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Previous experience or education within a Legal capacity is preferred.
- Basic to intermediate IT and keyboard skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft systems.
- Excellent administration / organisational skills.
- Ability to work to set deadlines and service levels.
Desirable
- A good team spirit with proven team working skills.
- Good attention to detail and concern for accuracy and quality of work
- Excellent communication skills.
