This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading authority in Wales recognized for good practice and innovative services.
We are seeking an individual who can lead the Safeguarding Adult agenda within Conwy and manage a wide range of activities, including chairing and training responsibilities, and providing independent scrutiny of adults at risk with care and support plans.
The position is within the Safeguarding Unit, which supports, develops, and quality assures both adult and children’s safeguarding practice.
The post holder will provide consultancy to stakeholders, promote and raise practice standards related to Adult Safeguarding, and will be responsible for chairing Adult Safeguarding Case Conferences. They will represent the Local Authority at regional and national forums.
It is essential that you possess comprehensive knowledge of the legislative framework and policies related to safeguarding adults. Additionally, you must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives, and influence professional networks.
A good understanding of performance management and key indicators for statutory accountability is also essential to evidence good practice.
We are looking for someone with demonstrable skills to lead, motivate, and achieve positive outcomes for adults at risk in Conwy.
Due to the nature of the work, a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required.
This role offers flexible working options, including adjusting working hours and hybrid working, balancing office and home working.
