Advanced Operations Director, Continence Care – remote role at Convatec. Travel up to 20% of the time, mostly within Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary BU liaison partner between GQO and the Technology and Innovation (T&I) Team.
  • Direct leadership of Managers, Technical Project Managers, Engineering and Validations SMEs, and technicians.
  • Work independently supporting business strategies within the BU.
  • Drive Automation strategy for NPD.
  • Align, share knowledge, and support with other BU peers in AO.
  • Oversee process validations and ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and product safety.
  • Ensure an efficient supply chain at the time of launch.
  • Front-load the implementation of efficient processes to limit opportunities for cost reduction prior to product launch.
  • Ensure technology development to support product life cycle management.
  • Drive the Company s Mission, Values and Priorities initiatives, and the performance coaching process to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing optimization and make-vs-buy decisions in NPD.

Skills & Experience

  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness with the ability to work independently.
  • Organizational savvy with the ability to leverage networks across the company.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex problems using data from diverse sources.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and manage implementation.
  • Experience in managing teams and achieving results across borders, cultures, and languages.

Qualifications/Education

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the medical device industry.
  • Multi-national work experience with responsibilities outside the US.
  • Track record of building high-performance teams and working successfully within a matrix environment.

This is a remote role. The position requires travel up to 20% of the time, mostly within Europe.
