This is a key role for experienced social workers who want to make a direct impact at the point of referral, helping families access the right support early and effectively.

About the Role

  • Lead on high quality assessments at the point of referral
  • Engage with families quickly to build trust and understand needs
  • Work closely with the MASH and other frontline services
  • Mentor and support newly qualified and less experienced social workers
  • Help families access early intervention and support services
  • Ensure timely and proportionate decision-making for children

What We're Looking For

  • Registration with Social Work England
  • A recognised social work qualification
  • Strong post-qualified experience in frontline assessment or duty roles
  • Confidence in managing fast-paced, high-risk situations
  • Excellent assessment, decision-making, and report-writing skills
  • Strong communication and multi-agency working ability
  • A calm, reflective, and supportive approach to team practice
