We have an exciting opportunity to join our Quality Team as an Advanced Practitioner (Quality Improvement) on a fixed-term (Maternity Cover), full-time (35 hours per week) basis. Based in Manchester with flexible working and travel to other LTE Group locations across the UK Who are The LTE Group? Based within the central Quality Team at LTE Group, you will be part of our small team of highly talented Advanced Practitioners who have a passion for improving teaching, learning and assessment and you will make a critical contribution to improving the quality of education across the group. Skills, Qualifications and Experience Amongst wider responsibilities, you will:
Design and deliver high-quality CPD programmes and make a significant contribution to the annual teaching and learning conference and other Group events. Conduct a substantial caseload of supportive, developmental lesson visits. Review teachers' assessment, feedback and target-setting practices through work scrutiny. Work with teachers to produce a robust development plan that promotes continuous improvement and continually develops their teaching, learning and assessment skills. Support the Quality Team in carrying out internal quality reviews across the Group and work with managers and teachers to implement recommendations via an agreed quality improvement plan. Confidently support teachers to use a range of IT platforms in the classroom and for online teaching. Support the wider quality agenda by carrying out activities such as focused learning walks to evaluate the impact of CPD and to plan for personalised CPD and coaching interventions.
The right person for the role will have:
A recognised teaching qualification. Degree level qualification or relevant professional qualification(s) and/or appropriate level and range of relevant industrial experience. Numeracy and literacy skills (to at least level 2 or equivalent). At least 3 years' successful teaching/training/assessment experience (able to demonstrate why/how it was very successful, evidence of being an outstanding practitioner). Successful experience of planning, designing and delivering staff development/CPD for teachers/trainers/assessors. Successful teaching and assessment experience and/or leadership and management experience in the post-16 sector. NB: Some experience in prison education and/or work-based learning is preferred, though not essential. Ability to evaluate quality and analyse data reliably within the post-16 sector. A willingness to travel to various site locations.
