This position requires an experienced S&OP/S&OE leader who can facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
This role will be challenged to build and implement a world-class Aftermarket Sales and Operations Planning process (from opportunity to service closure) across the enterprise to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns, lead times and working capital. This will be supported by sound data, digital technology to support sound decision making and transparent communication. The core functions of the position include strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing demand and supply; aligns volume and mix with capacity and capability; and integrates financial and operating plans within strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.
Role title: Aftermarket Services S&OP Leader
Responsibilities
- Managing the aggregation of the demand plan process across aftermarket product categories and producing a short term (S&OE) and a rolling 12-18 month (S&OP) estimate of unconstrained future demand in units.
- Conducting rough cut capacity and scenario planning to validate data and analytics for decision making.
- Supporting the development, monitoring and revision of production and sourcing plans, in the short and long term, to optimise manpower, equipment and financial resources while meeting customer needs.
- Preparing data and material for monthly S&OP/S&OE meetings to facilitate decisions around equipment, labour and other resources for short- and long-term planning horizons.
- Assisting in documenting assumptions in the demand and supply plan and validating past assumptions.
- Coordinating and facilitating monthly S&OP meetings to achieve demand plan consensus across strategic, product, sales and marketing activities, as well as supply plan balance and gaps.

- Achieving customer service order fulfilment objectives of >95% OTD.
- Developing support metrics, tools and reporting to enable the services and procurement teams to achieve service level and inventory targets.
- Working closely with Sales and Product Development on planning/executing activation and ramp-up for new products/service offerings and managing other product-life-cycle phases (new product to end of life).
- Evaluating inventory reports to identify slow-moving and obsolete inventories and collaborating with the sales team to develop disposition plans or sales initiatives.
- Tracking performance metrics to identify opportunities and issues within S&OP/S&OE processes and cross-departmental reporting; providing insights and recommendations to improve results.
- Working closely with Sales, Tendering, Procurement and Services Operations to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and to create mitigation actions as needed.
- Identifying significant business risks and escalating to the appropriate leadership teams.
- Ensuring efficient communication across functional teams for trends, drivers, and takeaways in a clear and concise manner.
- Supporting the linkage between New Build and Aftermarket opportunities.
Fuel your passion
- Be degree qualified in either Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Have strong planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Have knowledge of Business Operations.
- Have knowledge of Aftermarket Sales.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with flexibility, self-motivation and initiative.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while multitasking multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
- Attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Available to travel as required.
