We are now looking to bring a skilled Agency Group Head into the fold, one who will work with and report to our Global Ad Sales Director in the UK.
The candidate will be responsible for driving business strategy and digital ad revenue for their assigned agency group. They will be expected to drive revenue both personally and through members of their team, who they will oversee on a day-to-day basis. They will collaborate with the Global Ad Sales Director to implement the SmartFrame ads strategy across their patch and team, ensure best-in-class industry and client knowledge, and optimize team performance and development.
With a proactive attitude, the candidate will have a proven track record of growing revenue through proactively identifying new clients as well as leveraging existing relationships. They should have strong commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, address challenges, and guide teams to deliver against long-term business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day running of agency sales for your business unit, maximizing revenue from key accounts and ensuring full service to agencies
- Meet senior stakeholders across the agency group, including senior traders and strategists to influence broad buying and planning decisions that have far-reaching ramifications to the business
- Understand broad opportunities and challenges across your business unit, working with your agency team to implement strategies to address business opportunities and challenges and influence buying decisions
- Develop and execute agency or client-direct strategies across a team
- Coach and support the agency sales team, driving a positive sales culture
- Provide accurate revenue reporting and collaborate with senior management on sales strategies
- Sell advertising solutions within your agency group, focusing on your designated patch
- Create and deliver market-leading proposals and pitches for both incoming briefs and proactive pitches
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of brands, sectors, and the wider market
- Coordinate with Ad Operations and other departments to ensure campaign success
- Provide market insight to impact commercial opportunities and recommend product developments
- Collaborate with senior management to drive business success
- Identify key opportunities for commercialization and contribute to strategic planning
- Possess detailed understanding of SmartFrame capabilities and digital ad market
- Utilize expertise to win and deliver ad campaigns effectively
- Represent the company at industry events
- Foster collaboration between departments
- At least five years of digital sales experience and account management at a senior level with media agencies (client-direct experience is a bonus)
- Contacts and established relationships across agencies
- Demonstrable experience bringing new ad products and concepts to market
- Track record of winning and developing business from scratch
- Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
- Strong negotiation skills
- The ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture, where team members work collaboratively
- A positive and proactive attitude, together with knowledge of wider market technologies and trends
