Agile Strategy and Transformation Consultant – Financial Services

Responsibilities

  • Hybrid working — in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. Time on client site can vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site.
  • Travel to client sites will be necessary as required by the client.
  • Location — aligned to our London office, based in Victoria.
  • Lead clients through transformations to deliver better outcomes, faster, by applying your expertise in strategy, business design and operating models, agile ways of working, product management, lean, and change management.
  • Embed solutions that drive tangible outcomes within clients and re-wire a client’s business to accelerate change and value delivery.
  • Focus on changing skills and behaviours at scale and enable clients to achieve their goals, working in blended teams (with clients, not to clients).
  • Ensure connection between client’s organisational strategy and practical work of portfolios and teams to deliver change at pace.
  • Collaborate with a vibrant agile community and work with practitioners across Operational Excellence, Growth Strategy, Digital, People and Change to grow your broader skillset.

Qualifications

You will have some, if not all, of the following:

  • Market sector knowledge: strong understanding of the financial services market (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management and payments) and ability to tailor solutions to context.
  • Transformation Management: experience in shaping and leading agile transformations at scale, including benefits tracking.
  • Business Design and Operating Model: experience in business design and agile operating models to build end-to-end structures across a business.
  • Shared Services and Operations: ability to link strategy to production through engineering, shared services and operations at scale.
  • Executive enablement: strong communication and stakeholder management to bring senior leaders on a transformation journey.
  • Education: experience in shaping, creating and implementing agile content to educate and enable organisational agility.
  • Lean Portfolio Management (LPM): expertise in LPM practices to move from projects to products, OKR frameworks, portfolio Kanbans, demand intake and prioritisation techniques.
  • Product Management: experience in Product Lifecycle Management across market analysis, design-thinking workshops, and work breakdown.
  • Stakeholder Management: experience in engaging enabling functions (HR, Finance, Risk) to support sustainable agility adoption.
  • Agile ways of working: ability to guide executives and leaders in adopting agile ways of working to sustain transformation.

You may also have:

  • Training qualifications such as SAFe, LeSS or Scrum@Scale; Certified Kanban Management Professional.
  • Experience with regulatory focuses (e.g., consumer duty) and driving quality improvements.
  • Experience leading and running consulting assignment teams.
  • Experience in Change Framework design and evolution as organisations adopt more agile ways of working.
