This highly regarded Agriculture team in London is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Agricultural Litigation Managing Associate to join the team (ideally you will be 6 or more years’ PQE) and to take an active role in growing the practice, working from the London office. The Agricultural team has a broad range of transactional and dispute resolution work including agricultural property, contractual disputes, partnerships, public law and professional negligence. They are leading the way in advising on sustainability and natural capital and give practical and commercial advice to landowners, farming businesses, landed estates, institutions and others with interest in land and the wider rural economy. They also have formidable agricultural and rural disputes expertise. The wide range of clients includes family offices, offshore trusts, charities, landed estates, public bodies and rural businesses. The team also works closely with colleagues across Commercial, Corporate, Technology & Innovation, Intellectual Property, Private Wealth, Food & Drink, and Real Estate teams, ensuring that clients have access to wider specialist knowledge when required. The successful candidate will ideally have :

  • at least 5 or 6 years of post-qualified UK law firm experience in Agricultural Litigation
  • ademonstrable track record of attracting new clients and being committed to developing the practice
  • a passion for business development and keen to be client-facing and attend external events to promote the service offering
  • experience in collaborating cross-team to maximise business opportunities and provide a full-service to clients. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal), as well as having a commercial, pro-active and professional approach to work. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to juggle competing priorities is also a must.
