Analyst - Speculative applications for our embedded consulting talent pool
We are inviting speculative applications from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Control Risks has been providing outsourced embedded consulting management for over 40 years. Our embedded service integrates our consultants into the client's organisation and delivers services from their site. We are a preferred partner because of our ethics, security intelligence, practical know-how and management support provided by our global network of offices. We maintain a growing database of multi-national risk management professionals to match skills with client needs. We are seeking Analysts of all levels to deliver high quality reporting on security risk, intelligence, operations, and political risk. This is a speculative application to be part of our talent pool for future roles and does not guarantee an interview.
Responsibilities
- Intelligence Analyst: Gather and evaluate information from different sources to predict and prevent organised crime activities. Use law enforcement databases, surveillance, intelligence networks, and geographic information systems to predict crimes.
- Security Analyst: Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis. Perform internal and external security audits. Analyse and identify security breaches; continually update incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Political Analyst: Examine and analyse issues such as economic conditions, crime levels, threat of conflict, government stability and governance, trade and regulations, and humanitarian and human rights issues.
- Operations Analyst: Review data related to an organisation's policies, procedures, and functions. Build reports from this data and recommend programmes to improve performance.
Requirements
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, regional studies, or a related discipline; master’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience
- Broad knowledge of geopolitical affairs and global awareness of influences on business goals and strategies
- Attention to detail with the ability to anticipate trends impacting the organisation
- Ability to interpret high volumes of data from multiple sources
- Ability to compile concise and accurate reporting for diverse audiences
- Work well under pressure in moments of emergency response
- Responsive to changing environments and adaptable to unpredictable circumstances
- Strong client focus and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal presentation skills
- Excellent IT skills in MS Office and willingness to learn new systems
