OverviewAnalytical Technology Transfer Scientist – Full-time, 36.5 hour week, Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30. This is a hybrid role based at the client’s facility, a world-class Pharmaceutical company in Macclesfield. The role requires an experienced Analytical Scientist with drug product analytical development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.ResponsibilitiesBe the responsible point of contact for a major commercial product or group of products related to the analytical testing subject matter area.Support the client’s manufacturing sites and CMOs to ensure performance, robustness and compliance of OSD products and related analytical methods using expertise in Analytical Chemistry.Support major changes and market access projects in collaboration with multiple functions (External Sourcing and Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing).Transfer of commercial analytical methods to multiple locations and may involve international travel as part of the role.Provide support in practical analytical activities as required.QualificationsDegree, Master’s degree or PhD with post-degree experience in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.Good understanding of the life-cycle of OSD, Inhalation and Parenteral drug products from late-stage development to launch and commercial life cycle.Knowledge of analytical method establishment, optimization and transfer for release and stability testing.Understanding of a broad range of analytical techniques (standard and non-standard).Experience with issue investigation and change assessment from an analytical perspective; familiarity with standard root-cause analysis tools.Strong understanding of SHE and cGMP principles, applications and management.Good communication and leadership skills with ability to work across different functions.Experience or exposure to multiple disciplines in CMC and related functions (e.g., Product Development, Product Manufacturing and testing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory) is desirable.Experience or training in Lean methodologies is desirable.BenefitsReward and RecognitionHealth Cash PlanLife Assurance (4 times annual salary)Company Pension PlanEmployee Assistance Programme – 24/7 confidential supportFree car parkingWorldwide career opportunitiesPerkbox access for savings on everyday needs and activitiesWhat Happens NextOur people are the backbone of what we do.
