You'll solve some of the nation’s highest-priority digital challenges, helping millions of people access services they needThe Cyber and Domains Protection Team provide high quality relevant and actionable vulnerability, incident, threat and dependency information for the protection and resilience of the UK’s Public Sector’s digital services. We protect public sector domain name spaces such as “.gov.uk”, and ensure they remain stable, trusted, well managed and resistant to compromise. The team also helps protect the infrastructure tools and services associated with these domains.As an Application Operations Engineer - SEO you will:Act as a user, configuration and data administrator for a number of third party and internal applications, ensuring the information we hold is accurate, so that our customers get the best value from the data feeds we offer.Work with the suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve user, data, configuration and technical issuesMonitor supplier platforms daily for performance and issuesEnsure continual service improvement by working with service owners to recommend improvements to applications and the service as a wholeMaintain close working relationships with suppliers to understand updates and changes to applications and communicate their impact to service owners.Own application-related incidents at a working level, investigate their causes and find resolutions with service owners, developers, and suppliers.Work with service owners to identify and understand user, data, configuration and technical issuesConfigure internal applications to best meet the needs of internal usersSupport the provision and configuration of incoming data feeds (for example information about vulnerabilities) received from a range of suppliers, that the team relies on to deliver its servicesSupport the provision and configuration of outgoing data feeds, containing prioritised and actionable advice that we automatically share with our customersPerson specificationWe’re interested in people who:have experience of managing third party applications in an enterprise environmentcan communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand updates and changes to applications, and ensure continual service improvementhave working experience of handling and analysing the installation and configuration of large data setshave an understanding of the core technical concepts relating to this role, including an awareness of cloud services, IP addressing and DNShave an understanding of cyber security risk and government cyber security best practices #J-18808-Ljbffr
