The Role

We are looking for an Applications Systems Analyst to join the James Fisher Defence team and support the development and delivery of cloud systems to reduce business risks and maximise opportunities. You will play a key role in managing and optimising the organisation’s cloud applications. The role will focus on delivering improvements through system development and optimisation, working closely with users to find the best solutions. The position offers global exposure across JFD regions and sites. This role requires security checks. Interest in AI and the Microsoft Suite of products is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates the optimisation of product line performance by aligning business processes and information technology
• Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to such specifications
• Develops and launches system solutions in line with requirements gathered through exploratory sessions
• Creates documentation outlining proposed changes and steps involved
• Ownership for Ideagen Quality System, Salesforce, Concur and other cloud systems across the business
• Collaborates with the Business Systems team to drive improvement and visibility within the business

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

• Degree qualified in Computer Science or related subject
• Demonstrated experience with complex processes/data flows and systems
• Business process understanding and practical experience preferred
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in generating process documentation and reports
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
