Role Title: Arboricultural Asset Officer
Location: North West London (Hybrid)
Rate: £250 per day (umbrella)
Contract: 3–6 months, with possible extension

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Arboricultural Asset Officer to support the effective management of trees and green assets across North West London. This hybrid role combines office-based planning with on-site inspections, ensuring the Council’s tree stock is safe, healthy, and managed in line with statutory and best practice requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and assess the condition of trees across the estate, identifying risks and required works.
  • Manage arboricultural assets, keeping accurate records using asset management systems.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure works are delivered to specification, within time and budget.
  • Provide technical arboricultural advice to colleagues, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of tree management strategies and policies.
  • Support compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and health & safety requirements.

About You

You will bring a blend of technical arboricultural knowledge and strong communication skills. Key requirements include:

  • Relevant arboricultural qualification (e.g., Level 3/4 in Arboriculture or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in tree inspection, risk assessment, and asset management.
  • Good understanding of legislation and standards relating to tree management.
  • Ability to work both independently on-site and collaboratively with internal teams and contractors.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of asset management or GIS-based systems (desirable).
