Join Maersk as Area Head of Health and Safety for our landside operations across the United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) and Nordics (NDC) areas, including warehouses, depots, and transportation activities. Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and develop a high-performing team of HSE experts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous growth
• Maintain and enhance the area’s HSE structure and framework to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to people, assets, and operations
• Ensure strong alignment between business and functional priorities to support both operational excellence and HSE objectives
• Drive implementation and compliance with our global HSE standards across area, while accommodating country-specific regulations and international best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to deliver practical tools, expert guidance, and assurance programs
• Build capability within the HSE function, ensuring teams are appropriately skilled, qualified, and continuously upskilled
• Stay ahead of industry trends to bring innovation into the HSE strategy
• Ensure robust HSE impact and risk assessments are conducted during periods of transformation
• Inspire and engage teams and colleagues to elevate HSE standards across all operations, promoting a culture of care, psychological safety, inclusion, and openness

Who We’re Looking For

• Significant leadership experience in senior HSE roles, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams across complex, large-scale geographies
• Deep expertise in logistics and supply chain operations is essential
• A relevant degree in Health & Safety or related fields is desirable or equivalent professional experience
• Strong relationship building skills, ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
• Ability to represent the function at a senior level and drive meaningful conversations around risk, resilience, and performance
• Solid understanding of HSE governance and operational excellence, with experience applying best practices in general management and compliance

Additional Information

• Travel within UKI and the Nordics is required, as needed
