A great opportunity managing an established sales area covering the South West of England (South & West of Birmingham) & South Wales for a manufacturer of food processing machinery supplied to the food industry, with a £100K package on offer to the successful candidate.

Seeking an experienced field Sales Manager who has sold food process & / or packaging machinery.

LOCATION: Home based and covering the South West of England - south and west of Birmingham - you must live in the area.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Bristol, Birmingham, Swindon, Bath, Exeter, Gloucester, Cheltenham

ADDRESSING: BASIC SALARY: circa £55,000 • Uncapped commission to earn circa £30,000 • Choice of Hybrid Company Car • Good Pension • Private Healthcare

Responsibilities

• Manage an established sales area and a portfolio of blue chip accounts in the food industry (meat, cheese, pet food, bakery, dairy and confectionery markets) with the aim to grow turnover organically over time.
• Perform hands-on sales activities including demonstration and installation of basic equipment and some involvement in project management.
• Represent the company in the food processing and packaging machinery sectors, with reference to PPMA and AutomateUK.

Person Specification / Qualifications

• You WILL have a proven track record in sales of process or packaging machinery or similar into the food industry.
• Specific experience of food process machinery & / or selling into the meat, cheese, pet food & bakery markets would be advantageous.
• You WILL ideally have a technical background and engineering qualifications.
