Area Sales Manager – Paving & Building Products

Area to be covered: South East (Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire and Sussex)

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + £16,000 bonus (paid quarterly)

Overview

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Concrete & Landscape Products involves field sales of a high end quality manufactured range of precast concrete / landscaping products (e.g., retaining walls, paving, facing brick, beams, blocks, flags, acoustic blocks and architectural masonry). The successful candidate will sell to national & independent civil merchants / builders merchants (such as Keyline, Jewson & Burden) and also stimulate demand by selling directly to housebuilders, contractors, landscapers and groundworkers. The role works in a buddy system with a Specification sales Manager.

Responsibilities

• Field sales to civil merchants / builders merchants and direct sales to housebuilders, contractors, landscapers and groundworkers.
• Promote and sell a range of precast concrete and landscape products including retaining walls, paving, facing brick, beams, blocks, flags, acoustic blocks and architectural masonry.
• Collaborate in a buddy system with a Specification Sales Manager to achieve targets.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Experience as an Area Sales Manager – Concrete & Landscape Products or similar.
• Open in terms of building products / materials you've sold.
• Must have sold to civil merchants / builders merchants or housebuilders, contractors, landscapers and groundworkers.
• Experience within civils / builder merchants is acceptable.
• Ideally heavyside, but open to other building product areas.
• IT literate.
