Role Overview
You will drive commercial growth for the SME division across laundry and catering offerings, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. Responsibilities include expanding JLA’s footprint within existing accounts and acquiring new customers across industry sectors. The role is field based in the postcode areas AL, WD, EN, HA, with company car.
Key Tasks
- Deliver against the sales strategy set for the SME team.
- Focus on winning new customers and developing and retaining existing accounts.
- Lead effective lead management and conversion.
- Increase growth potential in existing accounts and acquire new clients.
- Build and drive key customer relationships with account managers.
- Support strategic projects to improve sales team efficiency and SME base expansion.
- Drive value through recurring revenue plans and cross‑sell products.
- Understand target markets and market strategies to attract clients.
- Deliver presentations to secure new business.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and competitors.
- Set pricing structure in line with JLA strategy and obtain senior approval.
Service Delivery
- Understand service delivery excellence.
- Lead customer service culture and ensure high standards.
- Collaborate with Operations to deliver sales and service SLAs.
Managing Risk
- Be aware of operational and regulatory risks.
- Report risks to line manager.
Managing Health & Safety
- Deliver role within compliance framework.
Criteria
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven track record in solutions sales.
- Experience dealing with multisite and larger organisations with a consultative approach.
- Strong communicator for varied client types.
- Understanding of install and service marketplace.
Experience
- Successful track record delivering ambitious growth plans.
- Experience in longer sales cycles.
- Negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience dealing with SME decision makers.
- Track record selling products using financial justification.
- Experience leading a sales team.
- Product, competition and positioning understanding.
Personal Qualities
- Performance driven with focus on revenue growth.
- Resilient, able to operate in fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications
Full UK diving license (required for UK travel).
