Specification Sales Manager Roofing and Waterproofing – Job Title: Area Technical Sales Manager Roofing and Waterproofing

Responsibilities

• Field sales position promoting felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing, and related systems.
• Win specifications with architects and building surveyors; also target refurbishment clients such as refurbishment surveyors, local authorities and building owners.
• Engage with main contractors and approved roofing contractors.
• Achieve revenue targets: Northern Ireland £800,000; North Leinster €1.5m.
• Inherit a significant project bank and a pipeline of live projects going through tender processes to support next year’s sales target.
• Focus on new build projects (commercial, schools, public buildings, factories, blocks of flats) and refurbishment projects.
• Receive product training as part of onboarding.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Proven track record in technically focused architectural or building surveyors specification field sales.
• Open to candidates from contractor or similar building/product sales roles with a technically focused/building envelope experience and route-to-market in specification.
• Roofing experience is not essential; open to building envelope products such as cladding, EWI, roof windows, etc., as well as contractor backgrounds.
• Experience with local authorities, building surveyors, building owners/end users may be beneficial.
• Surveying knowledge/experience may be useful.
• Ideally strong in new build or refurbishment construction industry experience.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and ambitious to succeed and progress; team player with a professional approach; excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills; hungry to learn.
