Role Description

This internship is for an Art Writer/Critic. The Art Writer/Critic will be responsible for writing art reviews, attending gallery openings and exhibitions, and networking with key players in the London contemporary art scene. The role is hybrid, with duties based in the London Area, United Kingdom and the flexibility to work from home as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent research, writing and creative thinking skills
• Ability to develop original, critical and informed ideas about exhibitions and artists that go beyond the press release
• Knowledge of contemporary art and culture and a base knowledge of art history
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in journalism, communications, or related fields is a plus

This is an unpaid role, although travel costs within the Greater London area will be covered. Despite our tagline we regularly publish work by and about people of all genders and all are encouraged to apply.
