OverviewArtistic Design Director - Luxury British Sculpture Brand at David Harber. Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ. Hybrid work arrangement – 3 days per week in the office, plus travel minimum 6 times per year to represent the brand globally.Lead the creative direction for New, Bespoke, and Classic collections; act as a visionary leader and global ambassador, inspiring a talented team and engaging international audiences with the design voice of the brand.Role at a glancePosition: Design DirectorLocation: Didcot, Oxfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days in office) + travelCompensation: Competitive salary (based on expertise) + bonusBenefits: Private healthcare with Vitality, pension, 25 days holiday (rising to 28), birthday leave, employee assistance programWhat you’ll doOwn the full design process for David Harber’s New, Bespoke, and Classic products from research and ideation to concept and final execution.Translate creative direction into elegant, commercially successful products that honour the founder’s legacy.Lead and develop the creative team, fostering curiosity, pushing boundaries, and driving results across the company.Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing; energise stakeholders and manage multiple projects with precision.Represent the brand externally as a figurehead, building relationships across the luxury design world in the UK and internationally; travel frequently is essential.What you’ll shapeDrive David Harber’s creative vision and transform client briefs into inspiring bespoke proposals.Experiment with materials and finishes; keep the Classic range fresh while delivering new concepts.Lead high-profile design events, CPDs, and global networks with senior leaders and clients worldwide.Inspire and mentor a creative team; set standards for design excellence and foster innovation and curiosity.Collaborate with senior leadership to guide the business and unite teams around bold ideas and shared success.About youDegree in visual or product design (or equivalent) with extensive senior-level luxury experience.Strong understanding of historical, classical, and contemporary design; ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.Excellent client-facing skills, ability to translate complex briefs into elegant solutions; strong communication and networking abilities.Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team with a positive, open approach.Willingness to travel and represent the brand on an international stage.About the companyDavid Harber Ltd is a multi-award-winning, internationally renowned designer of luxurious, hand-crafted sculptures.
