We are collaborating with a leading accreditation body seeking a skilled scientist to join as an Assessment Manager within their Agri-Food, Life Sciences, and Asbestos team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and extensive experience managing ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in these sectors.

About the Role:

This position allows you to contribute to public interest by maintaining the integrity and quality of testing laboratories across the UK. As an Assessment Manager, you will be the primary contact for organizations pursuing accreditation, guiding them through the process and ensuring standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the assessment process from start to finish
• Selecting and coordinating assessment teams
• Developing customized assessment approaches
• Compiling and reporting assessment outcomes
• Building strong, objective relationships with clients throughout each project

This is a home-based role requiring frequent UK-wide travel, including overnight stays.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and its application in testing laboratories
• Practical experience in Agri-Food, Life Sciences, or Asbestos testing environments
• A degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline (professional body membership is advantageous)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17043 or ISO 17034 is a plus
