    A respected organization in the accreditation and conformity assessment sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Assessment Manager to join its Rail team. This role focuses on overseeing clients involved in the conformity assessment of rail-based products and activities such as independent safety assessments and Common Safety Method (CSM) risk evaluation assessments across key sub-systems, including rolling stock, energy, infrastructure, and signalling.

    Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of product and process compliance systems in the rail sector.

  • Familiarity with relevant standards, including ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020, and ISO/IEC 17025.

  • A customer-centric mindset with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in auditing or assessment at an organizational level.

  • A degree in a related discipline is desirable, and professional registration (. Engineering Council) is preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant area will also be considered.

    As an Assessment Manager, you will:

  • Serve as the primary contact for client organizations.

  • Plan and coordinate assessments from end to end.

  • Select and lead assessment teams.

  • Define the assessment approach.

  • Compile reports and ensure accurate project documentation.

  • Manage each project through to completion with diligence and professionalism.

  • This is a home-based position involving frequent travel within the UK, including regular overnight stays.
