An exciting opportunity to join a leading real estate business as an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role is ideal for someone currently studying ACCA/CIMA, or eager to begin and progress their professional qualifications while developing their career.

What we offer

  • Salary - £35,000 to £45,000
  • Location - London
  • Hybrid - 3 days in and 2 from home

What can you expect?

  • Support accounting, budgeting, and financial control for UK & Ireland costs, including month- and quarter-end close.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations, inter company accounts, journals, and fixed asset register.
  • Manage cost budgeting process, analysing variances against actuals and forecasts.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including staff cost analysis and department spend reports.
  • Oversee UK & Ireland payroll processes, liaising with outsourced providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer tax year-end requirements, bonus/share schemes, pensions, and remuneration reporting.
  • Own and process UK & Ireland expenses through Concur, including executive and Board reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support finance operations.

What can you bring?

  • AAT (full/part) or part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Solid payroll expertise (PAYE/NI, pensions, share schemes, overseas employees)
  • Knowledge of maternity/sickness schemes and HMRC expense rules
  • Strong grasp of monthly accounting close cycles
  • Confident with tax year-end changes and calculations
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong communicator with good MS Office skills
  • Able to build effective relationships across the business
