Assistant Management Accountant | Surrey | £30,000 - £35,000 + study + bonus | Advertising Brand | Hybrid (3 day per week in the office) | permanent

Role details

Within the UK Finance team, this position reports to the UK Finance Manager and will take ownership of monthly accounting, reporting, and analysis, while partnering with teams across finance and commercial functions. Full study support is offered, alongside hands-on mentoring and the chance to progress quickly in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end responsibility for monthly P&L reporting on assigned cost/revenue areas
  • Partner with FP&A and Commercial Finance to explain variances vs forecast and drive reporting improvements
  • Produce accurate and timely journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of Landlord Revenue Share statements and related reporting
  • Ensure that all financial processes are documented and controlled, identifying areas for improvement
  • Deliver month-on-month and year-on-year analysis for both P&L and balance sheet movements
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and support on quarterly and year-end close processes
  • Work closely with the wider group to support the delivery of monthly reporting into the parent company

Qualifications

  • AAT qualified or currently studying; ACA / ACCA / CIMA (study support provided)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to partner confidently across departments
  • Experience with Excel and a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar) is desirable
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and drive process improvements
